How online webinars work for participants abroad
Sessions run live via browser — no software installation is required beyond a stable internet connection. The instructor shares a screen showing Blender or Substance Painter in real time, and participants can ask questions through a live text channel throughout each session.

Time zone differences and scheduling
Fortunaspark is based in Newtown, Sydney, and schedules webinars in Australian Eastern Time. For participants in Europe, Asia, or the Americas, this means sessions often fall in off-peak hours. The recording access window is specifically designed to accommodate this — you can watch the full session at a reasonable local time and submit questions asynchronously.

What the learning environment provides

Live screen sharing
The instructor works directly in Blender or Substance Painter on screen. You see every menu, shortcut, and modelling decision as it happens — not a pre-recorded walkthrough.
Interactive Q&A
A live text channel runs alongside every session. Questions are answered mid-session where possible, and all unanswered questions receive written responses within two business days.
Downloadable resources
Reference files, topology guides, and UV layout examples from each session are available for download. These are sized for standard internet connections, not just high-bandwidth users.
English instruction throughout
All sessions, written materials, and follow-up responses are in English. Technical terminology is explained clearly as it is introduced — no prior familiarity with industry jargon is assumed.
Secure participant access
Each enrolment generates a unique access link. Sessions are not publicly broadcast — only registered participants can join the live stream or access recordings.

No. Fortunaspark webinars are fully online and do not constitute formal academic enrolment in Australia. Participants outside Australia attend as online learners and are not subject to Australian student visa requirements. You should check your own country's rules regarding online education from foreign providers if you are unsure.
Blender (free, available at blender.org) is the primary tool used in sessions. Substance Painter is introduced in later modules — a free trial is sufficient for the exercises covered. You will need a reasonably modern GPU to run viewport shading smoothly. Session confirmation emails include a full technical checklist.
A digital certificate of participation is issued for completed webinar series. It lists the topics covered and the number of hours. This is not an accredited qualification — it is a record of attendance and engagement that some participants include in portfolios or applications.
Introductory sessions assume no prior 3D modelling experience — only basic computer literacy. Intermediate and advanced sessions do assume familiarity with Blender's interface and core mesh editing tools. The session descriptions on the booking page specify what prior knowledge is expected for each webinar.
Refunds are available up to 48 hours before a scheduled session. After that point, access to the recording is provided instead. Refunds are returned to the original payment method in AUD. Currency conversion costs are outside Fortunaspark's control and are not reimbursed.
